Thank you for visiting our campaign website.  John McKinnon Fowler, a lifelong Republican, is running for the 14th Judicial District Court in Dallas County, Texas.  He is a dedicated conservative who is committed to the rule of law, the truth, fairness and justice.  John has a broad range of experience representing plaintiffs and defendants in civil lawsuits and is a trained mediator.  John Fowler has mediated many cases for the Dallas County civil courts and will bring an outstanding record of community service and professionalism to the 14th District Court.

In brief, you should know that John Fowler is a 7th generation Texan and Dallas native.  He was born and raised in Dallas County.  John has lived in many different areas of the county, including University Park, Irving, North Dallas, Lake Highlands, Lakewood, East Dallas, and the White Rock Lake area.  John currently lives in Oak Cliff with his wife of 16 years, Tori, and their two children, Michael and Lilly.  The Fowlers attend Fellowship Bible Church-Dallas where John and Tori serve on the Family Matters steering committee. 

John has spent most of his adult life helping Republicans get elected in Dallas County.  He served as a Republican Party precinct chairman from 1999-2007, President of the Dallas County Young Republicans from 2001-2003, and most recently he served on the Republican Party of Texas (RPT) Executive Committee (SREC) representing District 23.  John was a delegate to the RPT state convention in 2000, 2002, 2004, and 2006 and has also served on the Dallas County Republican Party and Republican Party of Texas ballot security legal teams.

John has been an active member of the Dallas Bar Association and Dallas Association of Young Lawyers (DAYL).  He has chaired the DAYL Young Voters committee since 2002, a voter education program designed to educate high school students about campaigns, elections, voting and the political process.  John was a member of the 2001 DAYL Leadership Class and co-founder of The Freedom Run, an annual event created in response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks on our country.  He has also served on many other DBA and DAYL committees, and he has been a Law Day volunteer, speaking to students in DISD about the importance of the rule of law in our society.  He has been recognized every year since 2001 for his dedication to continuing legal education with membership in the College of the State Bar of Texas.
